Hello, Oneida County Listers! Looking for Anthony Empey, his family, descendants, and whether or not he was related to the Empeys of Ash Grove, Washington County, NY. Richard Empey of Ash Grove (b. 1775) had a brother who moved to the western part of the state. We were not sure of the given name of this brother. But we did find an Anthony Empey joining an associated meeting house in Ash Grove in the year 1794, and after that there is no mention of him. Anthony Empey does appear in the 1830, 1840 & 1850 census for Oneida County. Does any of this ring a bell with someone? Thanks.
