Hello Oneida Mail List This is the first time to post to the ONEIDA-NY mail list. I'm looking for an ANSON CHURCHILL; father to my great grandfather (STEPHEN A. CHURCHILL). Below is some information which may trigger some connections and additional through from the list members. His name was Stephen A. Churchill and his father was reported to be ANSON. All we know is Stephen was born in August 12, 1818 and he married Louisa "Liza" (SMITH) on September 13, 1841 somewhere. Stephen and Louisa had a very large family, as indicated below, moved to several places in Canada, see below, and died in Cadillac, Michigan, Wexford County, on June 14, 1901. Stephen was known as a "Lumberman" and farmer. He was well traveled, as were many of his children and grandchildren. Louisa "Liza" SMITH, it is reported, was the daughter of Capt. William Smith and was born on her father's ship also called the "LOUISA". If you think you have any connection with our Stephen and Liza Churchill we would love to hear from you.
