Looking for any and all information on the family of David Mannering and his wife Mary, who arrived with their children and a boy named John B. Gough, in Oneida co. in August of 1829 - from Sandgate, England. Mannering had a farm in Lairdsville and was a Methodist. Their daughter married J.D. Torry who was the pastor at the Methodist Episcopal Church in Deersville. Their son was named David. John Gough only lived with the family for 2 years before leaving to live in New York City. John Gough went on to be a very famous international Temperance lecturer. He made is home in Boylston, Worcester co. , MA.
