Thanks, Judy, for the information on the towns in Oneida County; however, I'm more interested in the earlier towns. My ggg grandfather was born in abt 1770. I noticed lately that Whitestown, March 7th, 1788 was named in honor of Judge Hugh White, a first settler, May, 1784. I'm wondering if anyone was in New York in 1770 or is it for sure that my ggg grandfather had to be born in another state and later moved to NY. Does anyone know about this?
