I am trying to locate descendants of HANNAH WALKER TICE PHALEN who lived in CAMDEN, NY from about about 1891 (or sometime after the death of her first husband, JAMES H. TICE in 1883) until her death in 1926. She married PATRICK C. PHALEN in Camden on October 20th, 1892. Her parents were Thomas Walker and Elizabeth Lausbrough. Her children were: 1. CARRIE E. TICE, born about 1874. Carrie married a WILLIAM WOOD of Syracuse. They had a son KENNETH WOOD of Lockport. There were two other grandchildren of Hannah who lived in Syracuse area and may be children of Carrie and William Wood. They are: MRS. J. D. WADSWORTH, of Syracuse and MRS. H. DUANE PURDY of North Syracuse. Mrs. Purdy had a child JEAN MARIE PURDY. 2. FANNIE V. TICE, born about 1876. She married BENJAMIN DICK of Rome and they lived in Gloversville in 1926. They had a son HAROLD DICK who lived in Albany. Harold had a daughter GERTRUDE DICK of Albany. 3. JAY WALKER TICE, born about 1879. J. Walker went west and settled in Portland, Oregon. I am interested in any information that has been passed down about PATRICK PHALEN, Hannah's second husband, who emigrated from KILKENNY, IRELAND to either Canada or the United States (possibly to the Oswego, New York area). He was born March 26, 1824, though this date is uncertain, and emigrated in the summer of 1844. I believe his parents were PATRICK PHALEN and BRIDGET CAHILL (though one reference lists his mother's first name as Catherine). He married EMILY AYERS (or AYRES) in 1849 and settled in Camden, New York about 1860 living there until his death in 1901. He was a Private in Company B, 117th NY Volunteers from 1862 through 1865. Prior to 1860 he lived in Williamstown, New York (circa 1851) and prior to that West Leyden, New York. He was a member of the Congregational Church for 40 years. I would greatly appreciate any information about the family or the descendants of Hannah Phalen. Don Chauncey Oak Park, IL
