Would anyone know where to write or visit to obtain information for voter registration? Here is my problem: My g-grandmother emigrated to the US in abt 1890. Because she was (God forbid) a woman, it was not necessary for her to fill out citizenship papers. When the women finally obtained the right to vote, she was one of the first in line to do so. Wouldn't she have had to prove citizenship? How would she be able to do that? Would there have been any sort of registration she would have to fill out? She lived in the village of Clinton in Kirkland Township, Oneida County. I am planning a trip up around Easter and would like to be able to get this information if available. Anyone? Thank you!
