Thank you to all the kind people who replied to my S.O.S. about using the LDS/FHC. I received many useful suggestions for searching and asking for the right information. I will check to see if my local genealogical society has any classes on how to use the FHC effectively. The next time I go to the FHC, I will ask for a brief tour of what resources are available.
