Rome, NY Oneida County Issue of Thurs., 24 May 1900 Westernville, May 24. John Groewr has received an Omaha paper containing the following: "The funeral of Mrs. Mary Grower, aged 53 years, wife of Wallace Grower, 811 So. 24th St., was held yesterday afternoon at the family REsidence. Rev. F. G. Bingley of the People's church preached a very impressive sermon. Mrs. Grower was a most estimable woman. She had been a resident of Omaha for nearly a score of years, coming her from her native place, Oneida county, N.Y. Her death, which occurred Thursday, was very sudden and was due to appoplexy. Besides her husband, a son, Fred Groer, residing at Denver, and a daughter Florence, at home, survive her. Ther interment was at Forest Lawn." Wasllace Grower is a brother of Mrs. David Pillmore and Frank Grower of WEsternville and Edward of Delta, and a son John Grower. Mrs. Grower's maiden name was Mary Phillips. She was a sister of John M. Phillips of Rome. She was formerly a resident of Steuben.
