Mrs. Burns was born December 23, 1869 in Windfield, Ireland; a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Moylan. As a child she came to the United States and to Clinton, where she has lived since. She was married to John Burns, January 10, 1893, in St. Mary's Church, Clinton. He died 17 years ago. Mrs. Burns was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Rosary Altar Society, the Ladies Auxiliary No. 1 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Auxiliary of the Helmuth-Ingals Post 232, American Legion. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Louis Townsend and Mrs. George Edson, Clinton; Mrs. Eugene Clifford, Binghamton, and Mrs. Herman Wiggers, Skaneateles; four sons, John E., Thomas P., and Francis P. Burns, Clinton, and James D. Burns, Utica; four sisters, Mrs. Patrick Leonard, Ireland; Mrs. Thomas Flaherty, New York City; Miss Sarah Moylan, Syracuse, and Mrs. Michael McMyler, Utica; three brothers, John and Patrick Moylan, Utica, and Edward Moylan, Ireland; 29 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the home and at 9:30a.m. from St. Mary's Church, Clinton, where a solemn requiem high Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. The Rosary Altar Society of St. Mary's Church will meet at 8 p.m. Friday in the Burns home to recite the Rosary. ** additional notes ** not stated in obit: mother's name: Bridget Conroy Moylan
