Grower Boonville Carlisle N. Grower, 83, of Potato Hill Road, passed away Fridya, January 22, 199, at the Sunset Nursing H0ome after a short illness. Mr. Grower was born September 7, 1915, in Alder Creek, a son of Curtis Charles and Edit Nelson Grower. He was a life long resident of the Town of Boonville, graduating from Boonville High School in the Class of 1933. Mr. Grower was employed by the Village of Boonville and at REvere Copper and Brass, Rome, during World War II. He later worked at Wooley and Iseneker Feed Mill, then, for a short time, operated a dairy farm on Potato Hill. Lastly, Mr. Grower was employed at the Boonville Division of Ethan Allen, working in the rough mills, retiring in 1981. On March 31, 1940, he married the former Helen L. Brown in Boonville; she passed away July 6, 1983. Mr. Grower is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mark (Louanne) Serra of Andover; three grandchildren, Timothy Serra and his wife Kimberly, with whom Mr. Grower had made his home for the past seven years, Todd Serra, and Michelle Hall: a brother John Grower of Westmoreland, and a very good friend, Joanne Hayes, who was with him when he passed away. Mr. Grower was predeceased by a son, Carlisle N. Groewr, Jr. in 1973, a daughter Constance Calvert in 1977, a brother Robert, and a sister, Nina Graves. A funeral service will be held Monday at the Trainor Funeral Home, Inc., 143 Schuyler Street, Boonville, at a time to be announced, interment will be in Boonville Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mr. Grower's memory to the Boonville Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
