Will appreciate any help. Hi List, My Grandfather George Jury farmed in Litchfield between 1910 and 1932? After that he owned a coal dealership in Sauquoit until his death in 1948. He had two children, Frederick who lived in Floyd, died 1977 and William who died in Cassville in 1991. His wife Florence born in England died in 1926 in Litchfield. Both her and George are buried in Sauquoit Valley Cemetery. He was born in Canada and married in England in 1898. In 1909 he returned to Canada and entered the US in 1909 through Buffalo. On his declaration of intent ,[1919] are the names of . Wilbur J. Davies, farmer....Litchfield, Frankfort Albert R. Bolton , farmer...New Hartford, Litchfield. My question is this. Does anyone know the names of the wives of Davies and Bolton. Why would a man leave Canada and come to Litchfield with a wife and young son? Why this particular place?
