Verona was/is a small hamlet on the old Rome/Oneida road now St. Rt. 365. The actual village center is about 1/4 mile south of the main railroad line (the old New York Central) that runs from Albany to Buffalo. I think I have seen on a map a group of houses near the tracks just west of Rt. 31, referred to as "Verona Station". I would assume that a "station" was located there back when trains made stops at every village. Now the area is built up enough so it looks like one continuous village but in the olden days probably would be considered two separate locations. You probably should just search for your ancestors in Verona itself.
