Julie, How close are the two counties..Lee and Oneida and I wonder if the G in Gray should have been a C. I don't know why he would have put down the wrong information. Could you check the 1850 census please. You've gone to alot of trouble and I do so appreciate it. I've been looking for these people for a year now.
