    3. Hi, List... Still chasing the Empeys. It's not an uncommon name out along the Mohawk due to the Palatine influx in the early to mid 1700's. The Empeys we're after, however, first immigrated to the Camden Valley of Washington County (in 1786) before "removing" out to "the middle part of the state". We know there was an Anthony Empey in the area of Florence. Does anyone have anything on him or his origins? He would likely have been born in the late 1700's. The other individual was WILLIAM Empey, whose wife would probably have been ANN. That's all we have on them except that they, too, removed to the central part of NYS. Two more questions: 1. Does anyone have any info. on Empeyville? Recently spotted it in on a map of Oneida County. It must be a very small town indeed. 2. There was a mental health facility in Utica during the early to middle part of this century. Does someone know the name of it and/or if it is still in operation? Thanks very much.
