Of the 194 Evans in Oneida Co., NY 1850 census index, only four lived in Rome in 1850 Ann, Catherine, David and Eran (this may well be Evan). None in Lee or Delta In 1860 there were the following Evans in Rome: David Evan Hugh Hugh Jane John John John H. Mary Owen Thomas L. William M. 1860 in Lee Owen Evans no Evans in Delta These indexes are not perfect. I have access to the 1850 Oneida Co. census but not the 1860. will do a lookup for you if you think any of these Evans may be yours.
