    2. Robert Franson
    3. I would be grateful for any information about the Daniel PERKINS family that shows up in the 1800 US census in Oneida Co., NY., for Whites Town, NY. I believe this Daniel PERKINS may have been the son of Dr. Richard PERKINS of Bridgewater MA. I am also looking for information about the Samuel NICHOLS family of Whitestown, NY, which shows up in the 1800 US census for Oneida County, NY. He would have been over 45 at the time. I have a g5-mother named Eliza NICHOLS, who married Dr. Richard PERKINS jr. in Whitestown, NY., in 1791. I suspect that my Eliza may have been Samuel Sr.'s eldest daughter. Also showing up in Whitestown and Paris (New Hartford), in the 1800 census, are two other, possibly related families: the David NICHOLS family, and the Samuel NICHOLS jun. family. I would be grateful for any information about these families, particularly the names of Samuel Sr's wife and children. -- Robert Franson Santa Cruz, California rfranson@cruzio.com

It was then transferred to Neptune Engine and Franklin Hose Company No. 1 and Mr. Schwab served this company as foreman until April, 1874, when the present paid fire department was organized. 1. [NYONEIDA-L] Peter MORRISON-NY
    2. Still having trouble finding info on parents of Peter Morrison (b. 1853, Hannibal, Oswego Co., NY) of Boonville/Forestport area. What info I do have states that his father's name was also Peter and his mother was a Marinda Powell. They were listed in the 1855 Granby, Oswego Co., NY state census as being born in St. Lawerence Co., NY. That is the only place that I have been able to find them. Peter Jr.'s marriage to Leanora Kingsbury is in the town record at Forestport, NY and it confirms that the younger Peter was born in Hannibal, Oswego Co., NY. Peter Jr. and two brothers George and Daniel are listed in the Boonville/Forestport, Oneida Co. censuses for the years 1900-1920. There is no other trace in any of the Federal censuses for their folks. My grandmother told both my mother and my aunt that her (my granny's) grandmother was a Mohawk (?) Indian. I have done a very small research into the St Regis reservation. Does anyone know if there are Powell Native Americans? Could Peter have lived on the reservation with his wife? Is this permissable? Is that why I can't find them but in one census report. Someone please help me! Thanks. Also, if you have info on Peter Jr, his wife, Leanora Kingsbury, or his brothers, George or Daniel that would be of great interest as well. Norma
