Vee To your little toolbelt add a hammer. I have, on occasion, used it on pain medication where you have to line up the arrow and push up. Also on toliet bowl cleaner when you have to push in the tabs and turn, another hammer job. Then we could mention the bags in the cereal boxes. Louise Rochester
Oh Dear Louise, You REALLY had to mention cereal boxes, didn't you? :-) It was only this morning that I had to go through that routine myself. The minute I stared into the new box of Cherios that I knew that I was in for a struggle. Of course it was just a simple matter of pulling apart the two edges of the plastic liner that contained the Cheerios. But NOOOO! it wasn't just a simple matter. What it amounted to was that I had to prepare myself for the ordeal. First I planted both feet wide apart and got myself pumped up to use all of the strengh left in my body. Even with my tool belt around my waist I just knew I could tackle the job on my own. I was in the "Karate mode" and knew that it was a mind over matter sort of thing. Of course that attitude is just wishful thinking but do you know what? With a loud "Yaaaaa" (in the morning, mind you!) I managed to rip through the cereal box lining! And that was my big accomplishment for the day vee ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 2004 11:09 PM Subject: [FOLKS] Industry and Senior Citizens > Vee > To your little toolbelt add a hammer. I often wonder how many senior citizens are malnourished because they can't open the packages of food they have purchased and just give up.
