    3. Evelyn, you are correct about the stamps going into a small paper book and after you collected enough to fill the book you turned it in then a bond would be mailed to you. I was eleven years of age in 1945 with 3 sisters, 2 living brothers being raised by my mother with no father in the home and living in Chicago. I love the songs from that period of time, 30's - early 50's.
