Dear Folks, I can't believe that my book ("Me, Myself and I") is almost ready to go off to the printer (OfficeMax). Ever since I got home from the hospital I've been driven to work on it until the wee hours every night. Today I put the final touches to it and called up OfficeMax to see what was needed by them to get it all printed out (I can do the spiral binding myself). This is what we figured out over the phone. Printing out all pages (front to back) of both volumes equals 6,800 sheets of paper for 25 copies both volumes. 6,800 times $.05 per sheet equals $340. That divided by 25 copies equal $13.60 for both volumes. In addition I'll have the expense of the heavy stock covers plus the expense of postage. Therefore it looks like my out-of-pocket expenses will be around $15.00 per set. Total number of pages for both volumes is 544. Note: I can't believe that I wrote that many stories but I guess I did. At the moment I have a list of 18 people who want(ed) my book but since I'm so close to actually printing it out, I'll ask you again to let me know if you're interested in it. If the list grows over 25 I'll be able to up the quantity to cover everyone. I must embarrass myself here and say that I'm thrilled with what I managed to put together. But at the same time I'm also embarrassed with the lack of perfectionalism in the formatting of it. Trust me, though, I tried and tried and tried to do the best job I could do without being obsessive/compulsive about it. In other words, what you sees is what you gets. BTW, if any of you would like to receive both volumes on a CD, the cost will be minimal. However, I can't imagine anyone being able to book mark a CD at the point where they left off.
