I have found Ruth Alice. The book I have was given to Ruth Alice Hoover, on her wedding day, by her father Francis T Hoover, author of "Enemies In The Rear". Francis Trout Hoover, Clergyman and writer, was born 1841, Berk Co, PA. Moved to Niagara Co, NY. In 1910 Francis T Hoover and his wife are living in Cambria, NY. Ruth Alice Hoover, married Thomas C Whitmore, in Niagara Co., on June 24, 1908. The date wrote in the book. New York marriages list the parents of Ruth Alice Hoover, as Francis T Hoover and Jane Hedley. Thank you for all your help.
