When we made a trip up to Lockport a few years back, we were able to view and access the old city directories at the public library to help us locate some of our family members in the early 1930?s and 1940?s.  I would think that if you were able to find someone who would look through some of any of the three old newspapers at the library, you might find the obits you are looking for.  I don?t think you can request help from a librarian unless you had a fairly close death date, though.  Here?s one of the links to the library:  http://www.lockportlibrary.org/lh.html.  Good luck in your search.  Hope that some of what I?ve shared will be helpful. Both were born in Ontario, Canada in the 1860s and immigrated to the US in the mid-1880s. Peter apparently worked as a blacksmith in a radiator factory from the early 1900s to at least 1930. Mary's maiden name may have been Fitzgerald or Kennedy. They had four daughters:  Madeline, Florence, Ruth and Bernice.  Madeline was a nurse, Florence a teacher;  Ruth and Bernice may have gone into nursing as well.  They also had two sons:  Clarence (my ancestor, who went into the Navy in WWI and moved to Chicago) and James.
