Author: djseeley Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.newyork.counties.niagara/433.429.2.1.1.2.1.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Nancy, In looking for possible parents for my gggrandfather John Brown Seeley I found an 1850 US Census for Hartland, Niagara County, NY which shows John age 15 (which would fit my relative), Mary age 13, George age 11, Harriet age 5, Emma age 4 and parents Gideon and Elizabeth both age 41. They also have a George Brown age 20 living with them which lends itself to my gggrandfather's middle name. Maybe he is a younger brother to Elizabeth...don't know. Anyway, I know the ages don't match up but I thought it was interesting that it matched your scrapbook notes. Sure would love to find out if this is my John's family. This has been a deadend for my family for such a long time. My father did a DNA test and he matches perfectly to Cpt Nathanial Seeley. He's definitely a direct descendant.
