She was born on September 24, 1947 in Tonawanda, New York to the late Wilfred "Bill" and Florence (Fink) Monnett. Her husband of 43 years, Bruce H. Eckman, survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Lisa A. Eckman of Troy; son, Jim Eckman of Pataskala, Ohio; three sisters; four brothers; and four grandchildren. She was former President of Dayton After 5. Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Troy, Ohio with Pastor Dale Christian officiating.
