Hi All, Of course not to be outdone by Vee's great story about grandma's apron, I must remind you of grandma's quilts. Remember cuddling up under the quilts greandma made & finding within the pattern bits & pieces of cloth left from sewing projects such as... grandma's aprons ? cousins pajamas? kitchen curtains? dinner napkins? picnic basket liner? rag rug remnants? Most of all, however, I remember the quilt as a final resting place for bits of grandma's beloved aprons. I treasure the quilts I still have, most of them over 50 years old, primarily because they are pieces of grandma in my mind, and provide an instantaneous trip back to my childhood, as much as picking raspberries or eating stewed rhubarb.
