Dear Group, Vee Housman, our fabulous fount of knowledge on all things Niagara, my Niagara County NYGenWeb co-coordinator, and a wonderfully warm, caring person, has just been diagnosed with cancer. (I don't think I'm talking out of turn -- Vee sent a detailed message to PADUTCH-LIFE-L@rootsweb.com, if you'd like to read the full story in that list's archives.) She'll be going in for surgery on Tuesday, August 1st. Everyone: if you're in the habit of saying prayers, crossing your fingers, lighting candles, or otherwise sending invocations to the Universe -- please do so for Vee.
