The earlier generations of the family settled in Shelby, Orleans CO. about 1817 and spread out from there. Seeking info on : Margaret BIDELMAN, b. 1815 in Manheim, Herkimer Co. m. Stephen YOUNG. At least 3 children: Charles (1837), Albert (1839), Juno (1852). Living in Lockport in 1860. Soloman BIDELMAN, b. 1808. May have married Elizabeth Taylor. Children include: Eugene (1838), Rollin (1841), Mary (1848), Francis (1850). Census records show them living in New Ripton, or Middleport. Louisa BIDELMAN, b. 1827, married Arthur JOHNSTON or JOHNSON. Children include: James, Nancy, Mary Ellen, Homer, Clarissa, Jane, Julia, Charles. Lived in Hartland, Lockport, and Shelby.
