What Army Unit was he in-in June/July 1847 that traveled from NY to Galena, Jo Davies, Illinois then all were transferred to Kentucky to re-enlist for the Mexican War. This KY 16th Infintry, Co E. was mustered out at Newport Barracks, Kentucky 8 Aug 1848. I need his and her parents and the NY Army Unit information. Sarah J. King
