    3. Hi! My ancestor died in 1907 after a train accident near Buffalo in Sinclairville. Her name is Hulda Wilhelmina Carolina Johansson, she was born 1 feb 1861 in Sweden. All i know about her is that she moved to Northamerica in 1892 and in Sweden she left behind her baby daugther. She died in Northamerica, my grand father wrote in a biografi. I cant find her in USA. Can anyone help me to find her? Kind regards Anette Bäckstedt Malmo, Sweden smulan@spisforum.com Smulan smulan@spisforum.com

I cant find her in USA. Sinclairville is actually not in Niagara County (where you sent this query), nor in Erie County (where Buffalo is located); it's in Chautauqua County, southwest of Buffalo, at 42:15:50 N 79:15:32 W. So the Chautauqua County NYGenWeb site may help you find the resources you need: <http://www.rootsweb.com/~nychauta/INDEX.HTM>. That site suggests, if you can't find something there, that you write Donna <deemills@netsync.net> and ask for assistance. Incidentally, several JOHANS(S)ONs are listed in an index, posted at <http://www.rootsweb.com/~nychauta/HISTORY/SwJames.htm>, to the book _Saga from the Hills: a History of the Swedes of Jamestown, NY_. I don't know if this will help you, but it may be worth a look. If you run into trouble, please write back to me privately, in English or Swedish, and I'll try to help you further. Lycka till! -- Ellen Keyne Seebacher elle@pobox.com
