Hello, I am new to the list. I am trying to find the family of Amos R. Strong, b. 1812 in New York. He married in Chicot Co. Arkansas in 1848. There was also a Alex Strong who married in Chicot Co., Arkansas. I have never been able to find anything on Amos prior to his marriage. Between 1847 and 1859 he bought several hundred acres of land in Carroll Parish, Louisiana. He died before the 1860 census. I would love to hear from anyone who thinks they may have a connection.
