Vee, Thank you for telling us more about this early association. Being born in 1940 I came along too late to enjoy these activities (darn) but I spent many summer days in the 50s in Olcott. The log cabin was still in the park then, although in need of repair. Don't remember any sign indicating why it was there. Think my mom or grandma told me about it. Or am I all mistaken and this old log cabin isn't the one of which you spoke? Anyway even as a teenager I loved that old building. The love of history was already within me.
