NY Obituaries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/NY/NiagaraObits/26 Surname: Weston, Clemisher, Marks, Marx ------------------------- The following two obituaries for Margaret (Clemisher/Marks) Weston were published in the Thursday, April 12, 1883 issue of the Wyoming (Illinois) Post and the April 11, 1883 edition of the Niagara Falls Gazette. From the Wyoming Post: DIED The funeral services of Mrs. Margaret Weston, wife of Mr. Charles Weston Sr., took place at the residence, near the Valley M.P. church on Friday, April 6, 1883, and were conducted by the Rev. W. H. Jordan, by the special request of the lady deceased, and also of the family. Although the morning was wet and stormy, a large number of neighbors and friends were present to show their respect for the dead and their sympathy for the bereaved family. The services were very solemn and impressive: the text, John 14:2 having been selected because of the comfort it afforded Mrs. Weston while living and suffering. Deceased was 66 years old and died from the effects of cancer in her face. She was a patient sufferer through all the weary months that slowly but surely matured the work of death. Mrs. Weston was the mother of Mrs. C.C. Collier of Wyoming. She was happy in Jesus and gave full evidence of her acceptance with God. The remains were taken East for burial. J. From the Niagara Falls Gazette: The body of Mrs. Chas. Weston, late of Wyoming, Ill., was brought here on Sunday morning on the 10:50 train for interment. The body was deposited in E.M. Clark's Morgue and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery on Monday, at two O'clock p.m. She was for many years a resident of this village, moving away about seventeen years ago with her husband, who has had charge of the bridge building on the Western division of the C.R.R. Many remember her as being a pleasant, kind lady.
