    3. Dear Listers, I sent this to Vee and she suggested I share it with the group, perhaps leaving out my comments to her. Rather here is the whole shebang! Evelyn ----- Vee, Sorry I didn't take the time to write to find out how you were doing. You have been in my prayers and thoughts, but as I tell folks who say that to me "I had no way of knowing that!" May I take a moment and share one of my recent memories. Back on Labor Day I was sitting here reading one of your memories (I do love them!!) and listening to my favorite AM radio station here in Colorado Springs, KCMN. I have a tape recorder next to it so as to catch some of those fun songs of yesteryear for my children and granddaughters to listen to one day. Anyway, sitting here enjoying some time to myself, when I hear some familiar words, then the song they're in. I get up and press record while listening to "Milkman Keep Those Bottles Quiet". I was amazed at what I was hearing. Gees, all these years I thought that cute little ditty my sister(who was about 8) and I (at 4) sung, well, that we made it up. But here I was listening to someone singing it. I was both amazed and joyful, for at that moment I was a 4-year-old again, back there in that big, ole brick and wood house on the Lake Road west of Somerset. Later I called the station and the receptionist got back with me with the singer's name. Don't know the date of recording. But for a while that Monday morning I was a little girl again and it was wonderful. I felt younger all day long. Memories are a wonderful medicine, so when you're feeling a little more together mentally (and I have many a day when I'm spacey) I look forward to reading them.
