Dear Group, Ellen, sorry to hear you're still in pain. With me, well I guess we're in the same boat on that subject. But I've had a bit of a setback lately (today) and it looks like it will be pretty much of a long term process for my incision to heal properly. And in the meantime, I'm not dealing very well with it all mentally. I know that the worst of it is over, but with my having to rely on others to do even simple things for me that recently I was quite capable of doing for myself, it has taken a toll on even my ability to respond decently to emails that I receive or to keep promises that I have made regarding lookups or such. My Inbox is overloaded with unanswered messages and the reason I'm posting this to the list is to let you know that if you have asked me a family research or history question or even just a nice message that I would like to reply to, the reason why you haven't received a response from me is that for most of the day I'm pretty much a mental cripple. It's only on rare moments such as this one that I can focus on what means the most to me--local families and local history. The rest of each day is spent trying to cope with getting throught it all--one moment and one day at a time. vee
