Although I'm not positive Walter is related, it's hard for me to believe that he is not. Almost all of the Proefrock family lived and died in the area. There are still quite a few there now. I do have one piece of information from the 1920 N. Tonawanda City directory about Walter. He was a machinist living at 1 Prospect Ave. at the time and also there was a William C. Proefrock (Spouse Elsie) also living on Prospect. I have LOTS of Proefrock information. There is a distant cousin of mine that lives in N.T. that I got interested in genealogy. I am originally from N.T. and go back a few times a year to visit and do research.
