Dear dear friends, I owe a debt of gratitude to Ellen Colangelo was such a sweetheart to keep you up to date on my progress. I finally was released from the hospital this afternoon and arrived home around 4:30. I'm pretty well exhausted. The surgery went well--once it was finally done--very little pain since then but then they kept me pretty much doped up. I slept most of the time since then. But the past couple of days I've been able to get around by way of hanging onto the handles of a wheel chair and pushing it around--I called it my shopping cart! My legs are still a bit wobbly but I'm getting stronger each day. A public health nurse will be visitng me on a daily basis to help change my dressing and othe things of that nature so I'll be in good hands. I can't thank you all enough for all of your prayers and good wishes. I've received nearly 200 of them. Not only did all of your prayers help me, they also spilled over to the family of a patient across the hall from me.who was in dire need of them, also. A number of you mentioned that you would like to send a card to me and I don't mind posting my personal address to the list. After all, I'm listed in the phone book and as far as I know, I'm the only Vee Housman listed anywhere. Vee Housman 3642 Creek Rd. Youngstown, NY 14174 It's is people like you who have been my greatest overall support in this very long three months of agonizing anxiety. I still don't know what's ahead of me but I do know this, with support of the likes of you, I can get through anything. Given a bit more recuperation time, I hope to be back to my old self, telling stories, answering queries and all of that good stuff. luvya all so very much, vee
