Hi all! Since Vee solved my mystery of Our Lady of Angels Seminary AKA Niagara University, I have been trying in vain to get some information on the original students in 1856. No luck. Is anyone interested in doing some hunting in the Niagara University archives to see when my ggrandfather, Peter Fox, attended there? It had to be between the time the school opened in 1856 and 1860. He enlisted in the war at that time. I have looked at various books on the seminary, but none list students names. I did come across one name, Thomas HOPKINS of Brooklyn, a seminarian, died on December 5th, 1864 in a fire that distroyed the Seminary. He was caught by a falling roof and buried in the ruins. This information is from the "Golden Jubilee Volume Seminary and College of Our Lady of Angels 1856-1906 Niagara University". Anyway, if anyone is able to do the search I would appreciate it.
