I don't know, as my Barrett name is elusive. My Step grandfather's name was Andrew James Barrett, yet his mother's name is listed as Myrtle Mae Covert. Andrew was a foster child who lived with D. S. Sherman and his wife Kezia in Alfred, Allegany, NY. He was born Nov. 21, 1921 near Watertown NY. Father is unknown. Andrew married my Grandmother in 1944 just before he left to go to Germany to fight the war. He entered Germany in Feb. 1945 and died there in Apr. 1945. Andrew is buried in Holland in the National Cemetery there. This is all I know of the man, my Grandmother would not talk about him as it hurt too much. Andrew was her second husband.
