They appear in the 1860 census for Niagara County in Hartland with a 12 year old Sarah. I believe that Sarah is Sarah Iles who later married Peter Penfold and moved to Michigan. The Emminghams also moved to Michigan. I believe Sarah was orphaned. I am trying to find a connection between her and the Emminghams in order to track down who her parents were.
