My dad worked there in that time frame and later also, but he is gone now. I think they did have a plant in Buffalo near where Western Electric and Williams Tool were located, as well as in NF. My dad was born 1896 and his pension from Bell after ~ten years of service was $25/mo. After being retired a while that was increased to $45/mo. Of course there were no survivor benefits for my mom. The good old days may not have been that good after all. ----Original Message Follows---- From: "RAYMOND CAMPBELL" <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] To: <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [NYNIAGAR] HART in Lockport/Buffalo, Ny area? Date: Thu, 29 Mar 2007 13:03:56 -0700 I know for a fact that Bell Aircraft Co. was in Niagara Falls where they made the P-39 Airacobra plane. I was not aware Bell Aircraft was in Buffalo. Curtis Wright was in Buffalo and built the P-40 Tomahawk airplane. Don't know if this helps you.
