I'm looking for some advice. I will be visiting Niagara County in December for two days to do some genealogy research. Considering the short amount of time I have there, what are the best resources/places to hit and at what times? Library? Courthouse? Should I plan to go during the week or weekend? Also, any recommendations on where to stay? ...and even eat? Thanks in advance, Rick Wilson New York, NY [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) Searching for DUFFY, MINNIGAN, MANAHAN, KELLY ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
Rick, I spent a week there in June and found the Courthouse the best source for information. Can't recall the name of the room but it was on the first floor to the right. They had files of surnames (didn't have time to get through all of mine) and would gladly make copies for you. Think it was 25 cents a page. They were very helpful ! I'd recommend being in the area on weekdays as more places would be open.
