Niagara County is good sized, where exactly will you be wanting to check records out for?? The county court house is in Lockport on Park Avenue.? The best place to stay in Lockport that I know of is the Holiday inn on Transit about 5 minutes from the court house.? The Library is open Monday thru Saturday with?Saturday's until 5 pm but not open on Sunday's; the Court house is only open during the week no weekends or evenings.? We have all kinds of restaurants here, it depends on your palate and whether you want fast food or home cooked food.? We have Applebee's which is the high end of reasonable, we have a Denny's and a Friendly's for quick foods also.? If you want homestyle cooking, we have Jackie's that is open everyday but Monday and closes at 1 on Sunday.? She's not far from the Holiday Inn either.? Then we have your higher priced, better dressing places like Danny Sheehan's or Shamus' both near the courthouse.? The library and the courthouse are on opposite ends of town! really.? Courthouse is on the west side of town and the library is to the east but near downtown such as that is.? One bit of advise, the Lockport library is really not a hotbed of genealogy, better to check with the Historical society which is on Niagara street not far from the Courthouse and open, I believe mostly during the week.???
