We traveled to the Erie/Niagara Co area last Aug and made a trip to Lockport on the wrong day, so check the schedule for the Historical Society carefully. When I did get there, they didnt have much for me and sent me to the County Historians office where I did find some things. Coming from Texas, I didnt understand the importance of the County and Town Historian positions before visiting. The people at the Niagara city library were helpful and pointed out to me that the Oakwood cemetery where my great-great grandparents are buried was only a few blocks away. Unfortunately, the cemetery didnt have any extra info from what was in the index.
