I too am a descendant of of Hosea & Margaret Townsend. My great-grandfather was Morris Townsend (grandfather was William Bryant Townsend). As the family has been estranged for many years I have no information prior to Grandpa & Grandma. Through cemetery records at North Ridge I have been able to trace the Townsend line but have not researched the Plate family. Any information or source would be greatly appreciated.
