Pleasant Cemetery on Salt Works Rd, Medina, Orleans County, NY. McCargar 1827-1879 North Side: blank Arranged in a row on the west side of the family plot stone are 8 individual stones reading as follows: 1. Julius 2. Emily 3. Mother 4. Father 5. Betsy C. 6. Maria C. 7. Sara Ann Chase Wife of Horace Chase Born Aug. 9, 1836 Died May 8, 1908 8. In Memory Of Horace Chase Laid To Rest Aug. 24, 1904 Aged 73 yrs. 3 ms. Erected By His Wife "Mother" and "Father" are Allen Chase & Polly/Nora Dunbar. The others are their children and children's spouses. The middle initial "C" for Maria and Betsy stands for CHASE - their maiden names - rather than their middle initials. The Mt. Pleasant Cemetery records list a Betsy Chase McCargar, born 1834, died Sept. 27, 1879 in Shelby, daughter of _____ Chase and Mary Dunbar, wife of David McCargar.
