    3. Cynthia To clarify things I wrote to Ms. Bamford, just got this response. Zona --------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Heidi Bamford <hbamford@wnylrc.org> To: Zona I Himmelsbach <zona.himmelsbach@juno.com> Date: Mon, 08 Jan 2001 09:34:51 -0500 Subject: Re: Message-ID: <3A59D00B.43390CDA@wnylrc.org> References: <20010106.174257.-311181.0.Zona.Himmelsbach@juno.com> Dear Ms. Himmelsbach, This is in response to your inquiry. Yes, anyone can come and use the DHP Lending Library and Free Literature resources. No, you do not have to be a member of WNYLRC (actually the members are libraries - the WNYLRC serves primarily library staff) to use DHP resources. The Lending Library titles are online at our website (www.wnylrc.org then click on DHP) and the Free Literature titles are available in hard copy. We have several pamphlets that can be used to help locate family history resources or help guide research. Some are online and others available only in print. The ethnic Heritage Sheets (African, Irish, Polish, Hispanic/Latino) as well as our "Doing Genealogy Research in Western New York" are all available online - I can also send hard copies if needed. We also have pamphlets "Documenting Community Organizations," "Documenting Your Family History" and "Family Folklore and History" that are all available in hard copy. These help you develop research strategies. We also have a guide of local religious (primarily Roman Catholic) repositories called "Guide to Archival Respositories" in hard copy. You can let me know if there are any of these that you would like to receive and I can mail out the copies to your mailing address. If there are titles in the Lending Library you wish to borrow you can request them and I will also mail those out to you with a loan form indicating you can have the materials for a three week period - then you can mail them back to us. Good luck in your research! Sincerely, Heidi A. Bamford
