She was born in about 1902 and died in 1981. I am specifically looking for information concerning her husband. Lottie was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Her father was Michael Anielski (b. abt. 1820-d. ?) and her mother, Julia Anielski (b. abt. 1870-d. ?). Both parents were from Germany and/or Poland. Along with Lottie, Michael and Julia had other children: John (b. 1894), Mary (b. 1896), Joseph (b. 1900), and Stephen (b. 1904) according to the 1910 USA census. Lottie and her husband had three children, Chester (b. abt. 1920-d. 1960) Edward, and Joseph. Lottie and her husband would have been married in Erie County, NY or Niagra county, NY. For extenuating circumstances, after the unexpected death of her husband, Lottie relocated back to Buffalo, NY and unofficially changed her married name to BARTH. I have no idea what her husband's name was originally. Therefore, records or information concerning her sons may be listed under Barth. I have some, while it may be limited, information concerning Lottie's two brothers John and Joseph. Any information on Lottie, Lottie's husband, siblings, and/or son Joseph would be greatly appreciated -Megan Barth Also searching: Barth and Kaplan Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In Memoriam George Haeberle (deceased), for many years was a respected resident of Niagara Falls, where he established a planing mill business that he conducted for thirty-three years. he was born in Wurttemberg, Germany, Oct. 22, 1832, had practical educational advantages there, and was twenty-five years old when he came to America. Prior to 1863 he worked as a carpenter in the New Yourk Central Railroad shops at Niagra Falls, then established the planing mnill business of which he continued the head until his death in Ocober, 1896, in his later years being associated with his two sons, George C. and Charles E. Haeberle. Mr. Haeberle was the first supervisor of the Third Ward of Niagra Falls. At Niagrara Falls he married Charlotte Waltz, who wa also a native of Germany, and they had the following children: Wilhelmina, wife of Gayton H. Swan, of Niagra Falls; Barbara C.; Charlotte, wife of Harry C. Stine, a druggist of Niagara Falls; Carolina, wife of Dudley D. Paddleford, of Niagara Fa! lls: and George C. and Charles E., both of Niagara Falls. George C. Haeberle, whose able administration of the affairs of the Haeberle Planing Mill & Lumber Company, the largest concern of its kind in the city of Niagare Falls, was born at Niagara Falls, N.Y., April 12, 1863. He was educated in his native city and practically grew up in the lumber business with which he has been contrinuously and since his father's death in 1896, officially connected. He is president of the Haeberly Planing Mill & Lumber Company, of which his brother Charles E. haeberle, is secretary and treasurer, C.E. Firth being vice president. This company deals in timber, lumber and mill work, operating the largest and best equipped mill in Niagara Falls. The main building of the plant being a structure 350 by 200 feet in dimensions. Since reaching manhood Mr. Haeberle has been more or less identified with important developing interests in this city and sectoin. For six years Mr. Haeberle was a member of the board of Water Commissioners at Niagara Falls, his term of service covering the period that saw the installation of the filtration plant. He has also served as a member of the Board of Public Works. For twenty-five years he has been a trustee of the Oakwood Cemetery Association, and for four years has been president of the board. In earlier times he served as fire chief of the old village of Suspension Bridge, and is a charter member of the 42nd Separate Company. Mr. haeberle's affiliation has always been with the Republican party, but he has not been particulary active in the political field outside of interested effort to develop his city in several large constructive ways. He belongs to Niagara River Lodge, F. & A. M., and to the Odd Fellows, both lodge and Encampment. Charles E. Haeverle, secretary and treasurer of the Haeberle Planing Mill & Lumber Company, was boarn in this city May 26, 1868. He completed the public school course, then became associated with his father and older brother, George C. Haeverle, in the lumber business and has been identified with the same line and the same enterprise throughout his entire business career. The death of his father in 1896, brought his sons into charge of the business, George C. haeberle becoming president of the mill and lubmer company and Charles E. Haeberle, secretary and treasurer. Although only twenty-eight years old at the time, the latter had sound business experience, a wide acquintance in the lumber industry, and the confidence of business men generally. He has always been a hard worker and is particularly well fitted for his official position in the company. Charles E. Haeverle was married first to ?Elizabeth Boyne, of Buffalo, N.Y., and second, to Flora R. Schlesinger, of Niagara Falls. To his first marriage two daughters were born, namely: Winifred, who is the wife of Carl Cotringer, of Niagara Falls; and Stella G., who is th wife of Harold E. White, at present residing in Germany. To his second marriage one son has been born Carl E. Mr. Haeverle and his family are members of the German Lutheran Church. While never particularly active in politics, Mr. Haeberle has never been unmindful of citizenship responsibilities and has always been ready to co-operate in progressive movements. He is a Republican and served six years as assessor of Niagara Falls. As a Mason he belongs to Niagara River Lodge No. 785 and to Chapter and Commandery here; to the Shrine at Buffalo, and belongs to the Maccabees, Elks, and Odd Fellows, lodge and Encapment, and is a member of Niagara and the Niagara Falls Country clubs. Hello, I am new to this list and wonder if anyone can help me. My great aunt, Eleanor SAUNDERS, married John A. MACE in Rochester on 8th January 1914. On the marriage certificate John is shown as a German born 50 year old 'merchant' of Lockport and this his second marriage and Eleanor as a 40 year old English born 'nurse' . In fact she was somewhat 'economical with the truth' as she was born in 1862 and was actually 52!! They were divorced also in the same year that they were married. The papers are in Rochester but, due to a 100 year rule, can't be seen until 2014. The 1892 census shows a John MACE (32), born in Russia, cigar manufacturer/merchant, and wife, Flora (54), living in Royalton. In 1900, John (40), provision merchant, and Flora (62) are living in 61 Caledonia Street, Lockport. By 1905, John (45), grocer, and Flora( 67) are living in 74 Main Street, Lockport The Niagara Falls Gazette of March 1939 reported the death of a John A. MACE (77) of Waterman Street, Lockport leaving a widow, Eva, and son John A. Mace, Jr and other family members. John had been born in 'Europe' and was the Lockport agent for the Rich and Agate Ice Cream Companies and is said to have lived in Lockport for more than 40 years. Can anyone tell me if John Mace and John A.Mace are the same person? Were there two John Mace living in Lockport in the early 1900's? Did Flora die sometime just after 1905 and did John then marry Eva and have the one son and somehow manage to marry Eleanor in 1914 as well?. Any information would be very welome. Best wishes Stuart Saunders, Kent, U.K.
