I have considerable data on your Keating family, and in fact, my mother and Florence Keating were good friends. Her husband Al Redmond and my father bowled on the same team so I knew him as well. They lived less than a block from where I grew up in Lockport. At the moment I am knee deep in finishing up a genealogy for a family member but if you will contact me right after New Years and remind me, I will be happy to work with you. But,my husband worked for General Motors at the Harrison Radiator factory in Lockport in his younger years. My guess would be that Peter also worked at the same factory. Chances are that your Peter could have possibly worked as a blacksmith BEFORE working for Harrison Radiator. Harrison Radiator came into existence in the early 1900?s. My husband?s father started working there in the late 1930?s-1940?s. They sold the factory name to Delphi Thermal Systems in the mid 1990?s, and no longer use even half of the plant although all of the original buildings are still there. When we made a trip up to Lockport a few years back, we were able to view and access the old city directories at the public library to help us locate some of our family members in the early 1930?s and 1940?s. I would think that if you were able to find someone who would look through some of any of the three old newspapers at the library, you might find the obits you are looking for. I don?t think you can request help from a librarian unless you had a fairly close death date, though. Here?s one of the links to the library: http://www.lockportlibrary.org/lh.html. Good luck in your search. Hope that some of what I?ve shared will be helpful. She was the Executive Assistant there at Father Baker's at that time. The President in 2007 was Msgr. Robert C. Wurtz, P.A. and the Chief Executive Officer was James J. Casion. Maybe you might try making a request of one of these two individuals explaining that the reason you are requesting the same information that you had already received in 1996 is because you had lost the information that was sent back then?? The letter that I had sent them back in 2007 asked them to please send my husband any information sheets or forms that they might require us to complete to obtain personal information about his admission, discharge and any other medical information that might pertain to my husband's health. We also stated that when we made a trip to western NY four months later, we could bring them either my husband's birth certificate or his father's death certificate if they might require any of that information to prove my husband's relationship to the mother who admitted him to the home. What you should have done was say that you lost all the information. Then they would have resent you it all over again. What someone may have deemed identifying information 15 years ago may not consider it identifying today. Even if it was the same person. If they just blacked out the identifying information sometimes you can make out certain letters or words that are not covered up good or sometimes you can even remove some of the ink that they used to black out the information. Jo was born in Tucson, Arizona on July 7, 1960 to Linda (Van Order) and the Late Robert P. Congelli. Jo and her family moved back to Lockport, New York in the late 1960's where she grew up and graduated from Lockport Senior High School class of 1978. After high school she worked for several different companies building her career in helping others. In 1993 Jo met Mr. Dave Yasses, and two years later he finally talked her into marrying him on June 23, 1995. They celebrated over 15 years together before her passing. In 1999 Jo and Dave moved to the Columbus, Ohio area and later she became employed with Worthington Christian Village as the Officer Manager, celebrating 10 years of service last June. Fun loving, and a founding member of the "Over 50 Cowbell Band," Jo could be found singing and dancing to her favorite Jon BonJovi or Bonnie Raitt song pretending to be a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader while vacuuming and cleaning the house. Laughing was her forte, Dave always tried to make her laugh at least once every day, "it was pretty easy" he said, especially when she had a Grand Marnier. Jo will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Jo's survivors include her husband, David of Lewis Center, Ohio; children, Sara (Eric) Kager of NY, Jason Minderler of NY, Lindsey Minderler of Lewis Center, Ohio and Zachary Yasses of Lewis Center; grandmother of Kendyl "Bean"; mother, Linda Congelli of NY; sister of John (Angela) Congelli of NC, MaryKay (Daniel) Kirsch of NY and Edward (Debra) Congelli of NY. Jo was the beloved aunt and mentor to several nieces and nephews. JoAnn was a Breast Cancer Survivor who spent years volunteering in various fundraising efforts. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, Ohio. Interment will be on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Lockport New York. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to JoAnn Yasses Benefit Fund, Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs Blvd, Columbus, OH 43235 in her name. Visit www.schoedinger.com to share a story about Jo or to sign an online guestbook.
