Harriet's parents were Charles Beeching and Sarah Beck. Alfred's parents were James Hornsby and Rose Anne Sweetman. They lived in the Wayne County, Monroe County, Orleans County, Niagara County area of New York from about 1827-1900. Harriet's and Alfred's children, born between 1846 and 1859 were: Louisa, who didn't marry, Charles who m. Samantha Mansfield, Sarah who m. Barry Haynes, Ethelbert who m. Sarah Ann DeWitt, Alfred Jr. who m. Clara Hale, and Frank who m. Ida Darling. Some of the children stayed in the area, most moved to DeKalb Co., Indiana, Eaton Co., Michigan, Osceola Co., Michigan, Clare Co., Michigan, Barry Co., Michigan, Madison Co., Iowa, Dallas Co., Iowa, King Co., Washington, and Los Angeles. I am compiling any old photographs and any information on Beechings from the 1800s-1930. Any information greatly a! ppreciated. Thank you! Edna (BAKER)LEONARD is my father's oldest sister - Her parents (my grandparents): John Lewis BAKER [13 Jan 1862 in Nefane, died 21 Sep 1932] & Bertha Evangelina HAYES [8 Mar 1870, died 6 Mar 1909] John's parents (my great grandparents) are John Lewis BAKER [1 Jun 1831 in Wertemberg, Germany, death date unknown but after 1910] and Elizabeth SWEET [1 May 1831 in NJ - died abt 1885] Her family lived in Newfane in 1840. As for Elmer and Zilpha FORBES LEONARD's two daughters, here is what my cousin has- "Olive Ann Leonard was born 1895. She married Julius ISRAEL, - two children: Gladys ISRAEL, and Elmer ISRAEL. He married Stella. "Mary Lorinda LEONARD was born 1898. She married Charles HOFERT. Their child Charles HOFERT." As for burial sites, I believe most are in the Somerset Cemetery which is not online. Juvanne - Alexander Martin died Aug. 23, 1861 in Lewiston, N.Y.- Believed to have been born in Whitby, Ontario, Canada He is listed on the 1850 and 1860 Census for Lewiston N.Y. His father believed to be Richard Martin from Quebec, Canada and his mother Ruth Marsh. Alexander Martin and Samantha Culter were the parents of : 1. Araedna Martin DOB Nov. 13, 1841 born in N.Y. 2. Elanson (or Alanson) Martin DOB Sept. 20, 1844 in N.Y. DOD Jan. 4, 1868 Buried in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria N.Y. That is near Lewiston N.Y. 3. Almeda Martin DOB July 8, 1846 in N.Y. 4. Dorlesca Martin DOB Sept 2 or 22 1843 in Niagara Co. N.Y. DOD June 3, 1903. Buried in North Ridge Cemetery. I have her death certificate. On Samantha Culter, I have no info on her except born in N.Y. about 1823. Thank you for your reply.
