Hello, I am in possession of an obit for Charles S. PROUDFOOT without a date from an unknown newspaper. His descendant believes it was from Niagara Falls. This is probably so since he was there according to the 1930 census. It states in the article that he died in Memorial Hospital and the funeral service would be held at the family home, 516 College Ave. The Rev. A. C. VanRaalte, officiated from the First Presbyterian Church. He was to be buried at Riverdale Cemetery. Does anyone know exactly where this cemetery is and are the burials, etc., on-line? Any other information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. He and his wife Nellie Bailey FRITZIUS were from Allegheny Co., PA. She supposedly died in 1950. Charles' wife and children were not mentioned in his obit. Thank you, Bev in Calif.

HI, Would anyone on this list be searching for Willis Binkley and his wife, Magdelena Meahl Binkley? Per the 1930 US Census they were living in Niagara Falls. I don't know, as my Barrett name is elusive. My Step grandfather's name was Andrew James Barrett, yet his mother's name is listed as Myrtle Mae Covert. Andrew was a foster child who lived with D. S. Sherman and his wife Kezia in Alfred, Allegany, NY. He was born Nov. 21, 1921 near Watertown NY. Father is unknown. Andrew married my Grandmother in 1944 just before he left to go to Germany to fight the war. He entered Germany in Feb. 1945 and died there in Apr. 1945. Andrew is buried in Holland in the National Cemetery there. This is all I know of the man, my Grandmother would not talk about him as it hurt too much. Andrew was her second husband.
