I hope to get to Niagara Falls this month & will obtain a copy if still needed. Do you know the ancestry of your Thomas McKenna? Nora McKenna who was probably born in Belfast in 1848 was a great greatmother. It is likely she was the daughter of a Thomas & Honorah McKenna. Nora emmigrated to Quebec before 1864 marrying my great grandfather Robert Bradford. They had at least three sons. Robert died prior to 1873 & she remarried a Charles Blaxill who had emmigrated from England to Quebec in 1870. The had at least a son & a daughter. Before 1900 Nora was living with her son (my grandfather) Thomas Bradford in Buffalo, NY & in 1910 in Niagara Falls, NY. She died in Niagara Falls in 1912. There is Mary, b. abt. 1864, the daughter of John BORGET, Sr. and Mary. Their children were William, John, Mary, Charles, Sarah, and Fred BORGET. William married Louisa SCHULTZ (who would have been Emil and Betha SCHULTZ's first cousin), and John married Bertha SCHULTZ (also first cousin of Louisa and Emil SCHULTZ). Emil, Bertha, and Louisa SCHULTZ were all first cousins, all different fathers who were brothers. These brothers were a brother to my relative Carl (Charles) SCHULTZ. It seems very possible that MAry, the one I mentioned above, is the same one you mentioned as marrying William DEMMIN. Would the Thomas ZAHNO you mentioned be b. abt. 1906 to Frank and Edith ZAHNO? This Thomas had Edna, Glenn, and Edward as siblings, as far as I found on a census. Is this your Thomas ZAHNO you mentioned? If it is, his sister Edna married Wallace SCHULTZ, the son of Frederick and Selma/Thelma (WINTER)SCHULTZ, and grandson of August and Sophia SCHULTZ (parents of Bertha who married a Borget, mentioned above). I have a large file on the SCHULTZ families, and some on the ZAHNO and BORGET families. A lot was from Margaret, one of the other BORGET researchers you see info from. Hope this helped, and you might hopefully have some answers for me too. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. All in Lockport, New York John Jr. and Richard wound up in Michigan and that is where they stayed. Most of the kids in Susanna Bentons family were born in Lockport. The older ones in England. I suppose it is possible that the two families knew eachother in England and came to America together. Thank you for any help available! So the children listed as born before 1870 were from his first wife Mary? I had contacted you previously about the ZIEHL family concerning Eva ZIEHL, b. abt. 1892. Her parents were Charles (Carl) ZIEHL, b. about 1865, and Wilhelminia. Charles would be the son of Charles (Carl) and Mary, I guess. Eva was married to Elwood WILKINS, but died in 1918, only abt. 25 or 26 years old. Do you know anything about this family? I was wondering if you had other names of children for this Charles and Wilhelmina. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
